Get your account ready

Create an account and save your login details

Open the “Free Trial” option below to reach the VPNAmp account creation page. No email address is required; enter a username and password as prompted. Choose a username you can recognize, and don’t reuse a password from another site. Check your entries before submitting, then save your login details in a trusted password manager. You’ll need this account to get the client, view your subscription, and manage orders.

After creating your account, follow the on-screen instructions to open the dashboard. If you land on the login page, sign in with the username and password you just saved. Make sure you can open the account overview and plans sections before placing an order. Creating an account and activating a plan are separate steps: being able to sign in means your account exists, but it doesn’t mean you have data available or that a client is connected.

If your username is unavailable, adjust it as indicated on the page and try again. If you can’t sign in, check your keyboard input, capitalization, and that your password manager filled in the correct account details. Don’t create multiple accounts while troubleshooting the same order, or you may confuse payment records with the account you’re using. Complete all the remaining steps in the same account.

Plans and data

Choose a plan and review your order

Open the Plans section in your user dashboard and first distinguish between monthly subscriptions and data packages. Monthly options include ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB, and ¥28/month for 500GB. Data resets monthly on the activation date. Estimate your needs based on the apps you use: browsing and text-based work use data differently from frequent video streaming or file transfers. If you’re unsure, read the full plan details instead of comparing prices alone.

If your usage varies, consider a data package: ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB, or ¥658/3000GB. Data is available until used and never expires. Packages and monthly subscriptions have different billing terms, so check that the selected plan, price, and data allowance suit your needs before ordering. If you upgrade a monthly subscription mid-cycle, the price difference is converted into remaining days; check the dashboard checkout details for the exact calculation.

Select a plan to open the order page and review the amount. Follow the instructions to pay with Alipay, WeChat Pay, or USDT. After paying, return to your user dashboard to check the order and confirm that your plan and data details have updated. If the payment page confirms payment but the dashboard hasn’t updated yet, refresh the order status and keep your payment record. Don’t pay again right away.

VPNAmp offers a 60-day money-back guarantee. See the Terms of Service for the refund policy. Plans support unlimited devices, but you’ll need to install and import the client separately on each one. Once the dashboard shows an active plan, get your subscription. If there’s an issue with your order, sign in to the original account and use the support ticket portal to explain what happened.

Dashboard overview

Get and protect your subscription link

Open the user dashboard overview and find the subscription section. A subscription lets your client retrieve server configuration; it isn’t an installer or a regular webpage for browsing. First check that your plan is active and has data available, then review the import options shown in the dashboard. If the client is already installed, use its corresponding import option. If not, install it for your platform first, then return here.

When you import directly, your browser may ask whether to open a local app. Check the app name and allow it only if it’s the client you intend to use. If nothing happens, install and open the client first, or copy the link instead. For manual import, use the dashboard’s copy option and paste the full link into the client’s subscription URL field—not the username, password, or single-server address field.

Keep your subscription link as secure as your account credentials. Don’t post it in public chats, put it in shared documents, or show the full link in a support screenshot. When contacting support, describe where you tried to import it and what message appeared; you don’t need to share the complete link upfront. This guide doesn’t display a real subscription URL. Your usable link is available only in your own account dashboard.

After copying the link, leave the dashboard open and switch to the client. If the import fails, check that you copied the full subscription link, not the dashboard login URL. If the dashboard offers multiple formats, choose the one that matches your client; don’t edit the link to try to make it work. For help with failed updates, see Troubleshooting.

Set up by device

Install the client and import your subscription

In the Clients section of your user dashboard, get the VPNAmp client for your operating system. You can sign in to download on Windows, macOS, Android, and Linux without purchasing a plan. To get a subscription and connect, your account must have an active plan with data available. The dashboard shows the access requirements for iOS. Follow the dashboard for download sources and instructions; this page doesn’t provide direct installer links.

The steps are the same on each platform: install the client, import your subscription, update the server list, and enable the configuration you want to use. Clients that support subscription management usually have these options under “Configuration” or “Subscription.” Don’t enter the entire subscription manually as a single server configuration, and you don’t need to install multiple clients to connect for the first time.

Windows: Import and enable the configuration

In the dashboard, choose the desktop client for Windows. Install it as prompted, then open the app. Return to the dashboard and use the matching import option. If the app doesn’t open automatically, find the configuration or subscription manager in the client, choose the option to add from a link, and paste the full subscription URL you copied. Give the configuration a recognizable name, save it, and update it.

After a successful update, the server list should appear. Select the configuration you just imported, open the connection section, choose a server, and enable the connection or system proxy as instructed by the client. If the system requests permissions, check the app name before allowing them. Keep the client’s default connection settings for now and close any other proxy software. Once the connection is verified, you can set it to launch at startup if needed.

macOS: Check the configuration and system permissions

Get the macOS client from the dashboard, then install and open it as instructed. If macOS asks for permission related to running the app or network access, verify the source and follow the prompts. Don’t disable system-wide security settings just to launch the app. If it won’t open, check the dashboard’s installation instructions instead of downloading an installer from an unknown source.

Open the client’s configuration or subscription page and import using the link, or return to the dashboard and use the import option for that app. Once the new configuration appears, update it and confirm that the servers have loaded. Set it as the active configuration, choose a server, and connect. If the client asks to create a network configuration, approve it, then continue to the connection checks below. A menu bar icon alone doesn’t confirm that your traffic is going through the selected server.

Android: Import your subscription and allow the VPN connection

Get the Android client from the user dashboard and install it as prompted by the system. When you first open it, find the import-from-link option in the subscription or configuration section. Paste the address from the dashboard, save it, and update the configuration. If you import directly from a browser, make sure it opens the installed client you intend to use so the subscription isn’t handed to another app.

Select a configuration and server, then tap the connection switch in the client. Android usually asks you to confirm a VPN connection request. Check the app and allow it, then see whether the client shows that it’s connected. Keep the app in the foreground while testing a webpage. Once it works, test switching apps and locking the screen. Check battery optimization and background restrictions only if the connection drops while running in the background; there’s no need to change all power-saving settings during initial setup.

iOS: Follow the dashboard to get and import the client

Open the iOS client section in your user dashboard and follow its instructions to check the requirements and visit the relevant download page. Access to the iOS client depends on the plan requirements shown in the dashboard. If you don’t see an available option, first check that your account plan is active rather than looking for another download link online. After installing the app, open it and find the subscription or configuration manager.

Use the import method provided in the dashboard whenever possible. To add it manually, choose subscription link import, paste the URL, and update it. Once imported, choose a configuration and server, then connect. The first time you connect, iOS may prompt you to add a VPN configuration. Confirm that the request came from the client you’re using and follow the prompts to allow it. Then return to the client to check its connection status and test access. A VPN icon in the system status area alone doesn’t mean every app is using the connection.

Get the client

Linux users can also get the appropriate client from the dashboard and import the subscription using its configuration instructions. For more involved troubleshooting, such as app-specific routing, router setup, or DNS issues, see Troubleshooting. This guide covers the basic connection on a single device.

Test access

Connect to a server and verify the connection

After confirming the subscription updated successfully, select the active configuration in the client and choose a server. For your first connection, keep the default settings, turn on the connection, and wait for the client to show that it’s connected. If the list is empty, return to the subscription page and check the update. If servers appear but the connection fails, check your plan status, available data, and system network instead of repeatedly reinstalling the client.

Open this site’s IP lookup page and compare the exit information before and after connecting. If the lookup fails, don’t rely on it alone to decide whether the connection is working. Check whether your browser can open regular webpages and whether the client reports an error. With split routing enabled, different websites may use different routes, so an IP lookup is only one diagnostic clue and doesn’t show that every app uses the same route.

Next, open the website or app you actually need and try a typical task, such as loading a page, signing in, or sending a routine request. Opening the homepage doesn’t guarantee every feature will work; account eligibility, regional policies, and app settings can also affect the result. Whether AI tools or streaming services work depends on the target service at the time. A successful client connection isn’t a guarantee that every feature will be available.

If a webpage still won’t load, first check that the active configuration is enabled, system permissions are granted, and other clients that change your network route are closed. If only one app has a problem, check whether it has its own proxy settings. If it works in the foreground but disconnects in the background, check the system’s background app controls. If speeds are slow, try another server and repeat the same test. Avoid downloading large files at the same time, as this can skew your results.

The basic setup is now complete. To add another device, install the client on it and import your subscription. Unlimited devices doesn’t mean they all share the same system settings; each device still needs its own permissions and connection check. For persistent issues, follow the symptom-based steps in Troubleshooting, then use support tickets in the dashboard to describe your operating system, client name, error, and steps you’ve tried. Hide your password and subscription URL in screenshots to help protect your credentials while diagnosing the issue.
